System for Update of Annotations in Corpora
Vrša, Štěpán ; Smrž, Pavel (referee) ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is the creation of a system that allows users to display and update the large corpus data annotations in the MG4J format. This thesis analyzes the current corpus data and annotation management solution and briefly describes the non-trivial SEC and MG4J tools used in the solution. The main element of the system is updating annotations in MG4J and subsequently updating the MG4J indexes. The system is capable of performing the above mentioned operations with an acceptable response time. This thesis also deals with updating entities in a knowledge base.
Semantic Enrichment Component
Doležal, Jan ; Otrusina, Lubomír (referee) ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master's thesis describes Semantic Enrichment Component (SEC), that searches entities (e.g., persons or places) in the input text document and returns information about them. The goals of this component are to create a single interface for named entity recognition tools, to enable parallel document processing, to save memory while using the knowledge base, and to speed up access to its content. To achieve these goals, the output of the named entity recognition tools in the text was specified, the tool for storing the preprocessed knowledge base into the shared memory was implemented, and the client-server scheme was used to create the component.
Comparison of Annotation Tools
Prexta, Dávid ; Otrusina, Lubomír (referee) ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work deals with the comparison of annotation tools when working with various data sets, and obtaining the results of comparisons useful for improving the knowledge base of the annotators. The thesis analyzes the existing solutions and their drawbacks, from which the proposals of the new solution are deduced. The other sections deals with the design, implementation and testing of the resulting tool, which is evaluated at the conclusion, and possible future extensions are suggested.
Wave Soldering Fluxes and Flux Residues
Kryll, Josef ; Dušek, Karel (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with issues of flux residues after wave Soldering. The general aim is to create methodology for measuring the surface insulation resistance values of flux residues after soldering and isothermal heating. Finding the ammount of ionic contamination by using conductometric method. Measurement of wettability of Cu wire by using wetting balance method for different fluxes. The aim is then to compare the measured values with the values dictated by the manufacturer.
Economy of ventilation units
Kratochvila, Lukáš ; Pech, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis discuss methods of comparing air handling units from the economy of operating stage aspect. Introductory chapters have research character and they are about ventilation and air handling units. In further chapters, there are described and demonstrated 3 methods for comparing units. These methods are compared in the conclusion.
Aggregation of Security Incident Reports
Kapičák, Daniel ; Kováčik, Michal (referee) ; Bartoš, Václav (advisor)
In this thesis, I present analysis of security incident reports in IDEA format from Mentat and their aggregation and correlation methods design and implementation. In data analysis, I show huge security reports diversity. Next, I show design of simple framework and system of templates. This framework and system of templates simplify aggregation and correlation methods design and implementation. Finally, I evaluate designed methods using Mentat database dumps. The results showed that designed methods can reduce the number of security reports up to 90% without loss of any significant information.
Extrakce informací ze zpráv o finančním stavu společností
Gramatová, Nikola
Investors strive to predict stock market returns, but it is a challenging task. Re-searchers have proposed various strategies as potential ways to forecast stock returns. Recently, data analytics and natural language processing have emerged as promising methods. This project aims to explore the use of natural language processing to predict changes in stock prices. The focus is on analyzing firms' 10-K and 10-Q reports to identify sentiment.
Oligomerization state and pigment contents of algal light-harvesting proteins
MALINOVÁ, Kateřina
Light-harvesting antennas (LHCs) from four microalgae species (diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum, haptophyte Emiliania huxleyi, and two eustigmatophytes Nannochloropsis oceanica and Trachydiscus minutus) were studied. LHCs were extracted and purified using sucrose gradient ultracentrifugation and ion-exchange chromatography. Oligomerization states of LHCs were assessed using two independent methods - CN-PAGE and size-exclusion chromatography. Effects of the purification on LHC pigment composition was assessed using HPLC.
Lipoprotein study by SEC/LLSD method
Šinglárová, Simona ; Tvrzická, Eva (advisor) ; Staňková, Barbora (referee)
The disorders of the lipid metabolism have to be monitored for a number of socially significant diseases. For the diagnosis of these disorders, it turned out in the last 10 years as very beneficial to determine the particle size of the individual lipoprotein classes, in particular the low-density lipoprotein. Among several known methods, we have chosen gel filtration with the light scattering detector. Lipoprotein fractions were separated by ultracentrifugation from the plasma of four donors. Three biochemical parameters - total cholesterol, triacylglycerol, and total protein - were routinely determined for plasma and for each fraction. The silica column BioBasic SEC 300x7,8 mm was calibrated by the proteins thyroglobulin, ovalbumin and angiotensin II with UV detection (280 nm). These proteins are not suitable (due to the size) for the calibration method SEC-LLSD. Therefore, latex beads of various modifications and sizes were tested. The only usable measurement was obtained for the deep-blue latex beads of the size 55 nm, the others remained retained in the column. The lipoprotein fractions of VLDL and LDL were examined by the SEC-LLSD method at different pH (7.3, 7.5, 7.7, 8.0) and ionic strength (0.1M phosphate buffer, 0.1M phosphate buffer and 0.9% NaCl, 0.05M phosphate buffer and 0.9% NaCl)....
Effect of grazing and mowing on vegetation of dry grasslands
Pechová, Tereza ; Münzbergová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Čiháková, Kateřina (referee)
Grassland communities are natural part of our landscape. They were mostly created or maintained by human. If we leave them to their natural development they will disappear. Today grazing or mowing is recommended as an appropriate management. This work is an answer to the beginning of the grazing and mowing management in NPP Kaňk near Kutná Hora. Its goal is preparation for the monitoring of grazing and mowing, which will be in progress in this locality since year 2010.
